Mixed emotions today! Happy that Mama and I have clocked over 100 miles for January but so sad to see the news today. Mortality rate for prostate cancer is on the rise, and has increased by 20% since the 90's! Spurring us on to complete another mile if we can help reduce that figure! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/02/02/prostate-cancer-kills-people-breast-cancer-first-time-new-figures/amp/

A few hours away from the end of week 1 and I've managed to clock up 43.45 miles, which averages 6.2 miles a day. Not bad going seeing as I was in temperatures as low as -15°C, in Norway in deep snow which made each step twice as hard! On track!! The aim is 1000 miles in 2018 but if I can...I'm going to try 2018miles in 2018! Fingers crossed.

Start as you mean to go on they say, so as I climb into bed my fitbit confirms I achieved 5.94miles by the end of Day 1. Wasnt expecting to get out today, so will take that very positive start with a smile. Many thanks to Dave Lloyd for being my first sponsor; so I'm definately motivated to keep on trekking now!! Won't let you down!!
